Technician

A research technician position is available to study molecular vulnerabilities of a cancer cell using sophisticated genomic tools. A Bachelor degree in Science with good experience in a research lab or Master’s degree with some good experience in a research lab is desirable. Experience in cancer biology or a motivation to work in the field of cancer is also desirable. The laboratory will use genomic tools such as pooled shRNA library or CRISPR libraries to query the cancer genome to define synthetic lethal interactions that can potentially translate into therapeutic targets. Located in a rapidly expanding bridge city, Saskatoon, the University of Saskatchewan offers a wide variety of amenities and activities to enhance social and academic life (http://explore.usask.ca/campuslife ). More info about the lab can be found at http://homepage.usask.ca/~frv603/
